I took the end part of my ‘Camera Testing 2’ video and thought I would edit it, I wanted to show how overlays and effects can change a piece of film; as you can see here, it makes it look like a different clip shown than the ending of my ‘Camera Testing 2’ video.
I edited this clip to show you; the reader of my blog, that I will be using overlays and effects to create my teaser trailer. It will make my trailer look more professional and it will set the atmosphere of a creative piece of work.
To fit with the song I cut and rearranged some of the clips from the original video, so that when watching this film it looks well thought out and will flow nicely with the beat of the music. I put a colouring on the overall clip to make it look unique and different from the original film, then lastly I added about 3 to 4 different overlays, that were set to ‘overlay, screen, and light’ on my editing software; Sony Vegas, to give of deep meaningful colour and texture. I keep the same transitions from the original clip as they fitted with the music and gave the video that gentle but powerful vibe.
Overall, I think this film looks more interesting to watch than the original as these effects have been added onto it and make the film look more bold and colourful.
